    SEO implementation

Is it better to have SEO implemented during the construction of a website?

What are the advantages to implementing SEO during website construction versus after completion of design?

And How much emphasis would you place on SEO implementation during website design rather than after construction?

Is it Crucial and incidental...during website design?!

SEO is imperative to every business operating online. Website is the key focus of digital marketing world and its traffic sources is generally increases through organic search. You can’t think about SEO until having a good website. Website Designing and Development is often correlated with SEO parameters. Some sites look shiny and informative but remain lack on the SEO and digital marketing front. If the fundamental elements are not followed at design time, then it will be hard to win the marketing race.

Great feedback! Very informative! Thank You for the time you placed responding to this inquiry. I greatly appreciate the education in SEO and SEM and the information on how a sacrifice is required between appearance, content, and HTML markup validation. That never was something I understood before this answer was posted. Great to know! Also, I wasn't aware of just how labor intensive and persistent a challenge it must be to keep up with effective Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing long after the creation and launch of a business's website. Again, Thank You. And Good Luck to all contestants in the challenge!

What's up HeroSauce, great questions! SEO is website construction. Construction and SEO go hand in hand (I apologize about all the idioms & homophones in my writing style, but bear with me I'm going somewhere with is). Admittedly, SEO Hero HQ is not a proper example of ideal optimization implementations as the site is being built live and on the fly due to the contest's deadlines.

Relevant search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) should be mapped out completely prior to the development of the client's website. However, even a 100% properly constructed "Google Guideline spec website" will always have a ghost in the machine. This is where function vs layout vs style come into play. Sacrifices and trade offs will have to be made with regard to website appearance, page contents, and proper W3 HTML markup validation. For instance, sometimes:
    Code:
<h3></h3> title tags look better than <h2></h2> title tags and are excluded from the webpage design.
Another consistent example being that inline HTML is the only way to get code to work/look proper opposed to the W3 validator error suggestions to utilize global CSS. Just a couple examples of the infinite possibilities of how a website can never be absolutely perfect in the eyes of SEO & SEM.

Further identifications of malfunctioning, or deflective web contents will also require ongoing updates and fixes, or the overall SEO health of the website and search visibility will diminish. Once an audience becomes active on the created site, navigational directives and content focus may need to be adapted based on users logged experience data. Website adaptions should be an ongoing process based on machine learning (AI) data that identifies audience navigational patterns and determines focus areas of the created site. Audience data AI also provides a clearer view of areas of a website that may need to be excluded from public use.

Advancements in machine learning, HTML5 applications, and ongoing amendments to Google's Guidelines will forever require a webmaster to adapt SEO strategies deployed. SEO/SEM is executed before the website build, during website development, and ongoing long after the website goes live.

I think the seo should be there from the outset and oversee construction working alongside the web developer, key components such as site structure, url handling, pagination, canonicals all need to be discussed especially on a bespoke project
